The Church of Scientology has used terrorist-type tactics against anyone who attempts to leave the church including revealing intimate details about members who leave & having them followed by private investigators. Websites set up to discredit these people are the norm, possibly harming their chances of making a future outside that organization.
Disconnection from family & friends is common for anyone who chooses to leave and it drains its current members of their finances for "donations" or "exit fees" all while being allowed to profit and avoid any accountability to the IRS.
With little investigation anyone can find heartbreaking stories of families torn apart by this organization. They should not be allowed to go unchecked & not be held to the same tax standards as the rest of us.
