Revoke the tax-exempt status of the Church of Scientology.

The Church of Scientology is a dangerous cult that bilks its members out of obscene amounts of money to advance through its ranks, uses litigation to intimidate and silence its critics, subjects members to mental, emotional, and sometimes physical abuse, unlawfully detains certain members at its southern California base, compels some members to endure unpaid or grossly underpaid forced labor at the selfsame base, commits numerous acts of fraud against its members and the public at large, and exists mostly to enrich its megalomaniacal leader, David Miscavige. Numerous defectors from the church have detailed its methodical abuse and misdeeds, yet this organization continues to enjoy tax-exempt status. Revoke this status and force the organization to open its books to careful scrutiny.
