Senator Ted Cruz has called for evangelical pastors to preach on the defunding of Planned Parenthood by the federal government, which makes these churches de facto political organizations. This politicking from the pulpit is another volley in the GOP WAR ON WOMEN and it violates the separation of church and state, and should result in the removal of tax exempt status for these congregations. The IRS should begin an immediate investigation of these activities and enforce the laws already in place. Senator Cruz should be sanctioned by the Senate for calling for these illegal activities.
