The Commission on Presidential Debates is currently a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation controlled by the Democratic and Republican parties to oversee Presidential debates. Regulations set by the CPD consistently serve only to prevent third-party candidates from communicating with voters in the same manner as the main parties, therefore virtually ensuring their loss in elections.
The Commission, due to its bipartisan (as opposed to nonpartisan) leadership, able to represent their parties' interests over those of other parties or of the American people, effectively acts as a part of the Democratic and Republican party organisations, which are required to pay taxes. We the People call on the federal government to use this as a base for revoking the tax-exempt status of the CPD.
