The Westboro Baptist Church is classified as a nonprofit organization by the U.S. federal government, this status keeps the group from paying taxes.
The "Church" is a group of hateful people who picket the funerals of soldiers, among others. They claimed they would be in Boston after the terrorist attacks there on April 15th, they also stated that they would picket the funerals of the Sandy Hook Elementary victims. They did not show up in CT. and have yet to show up in MA, my home state, but we must keep these people from causing grieving people any more harm.
Why are they doing this? The group claims that God sent the bombs to Boston for allowing "fag marriage." CT. allowing gay marriage was the reason God took the lives of the children and teachers at Sandy Hook, the group also states.
