Rewrite the (430 ILCS 65/) Firearm Owners Identification Card Act.

Created by B.P. on November 04, 2014

The Illinois law (430 ILCS 65/) Firearm Owners Identification Card Act, is written so those with Mental Disabilities and those who seek mental health of any kind are stripped the right to own or have both their FOID Card and firearms for 5 years. The Appeal investigation relinquishes the persons rights to the State Police instead of the doctor's care. This law should not be written so anyone who seeks mental health help or care is stripped of their right and should be allowed to be apart of the appeal process. By having laws like these treat us as sub citizens and should not be allowed.
