Rewrite the Child Abuse and Child Neglect Laws. Give these children a voice so that they can get justice

I am asking your administration to do a major overhaul and rewrite the Child Abuse laws that we have in this country. If a child is physically/sexually/mentally abused or neglected, the abuser should be charged as such. These abusers take away so much from the children they abuse. They take their innocence, their trust and their security. That is something these children will never get back. Yet in our country, someone can hit a child, get to plead to aggravated battery and get off with 2 years probation and still have the right to get visitation/custody of their own children when all is said and done. They take the same things away from their victims as rapists yet are treated extremely different. This should not be an expugnable crime and there should also be mandated registry.
