Rewriting the Drug Czars (ondcp director) job description so that he is not obligated to oppose other illegal drug strategies including ending prohibition and legalization. It is important that our offices of our government to be able to adjust their policies in line with scientific knowledge, and the people's wishes. To have a permanent stance on any policy is dysfunctional, maladaptive, and harmful to the nation. The present strategy is an embarrassment, ineffective, and self destructive. It is time to realize that we can not go on ignoring the damage that the drug war is causing. To allow change is something that we can believe in.
