We sit here together, to ask, that you do whatever it takes to get the Second Amendment updated and written for the world in which we live in now. It needs to reflect our changing times; the issues that are real and affecting people all across our Country.
We cannot stand by and watch a gridlocked Congress and House, fight over whether is should be legal to own and have guns. We know the comparisons. We know, that in other Countries, many do not have the right to bear arms and tragedies’ like Columbine and Sandy Hook, just do not happen.
I know it isn’t a simple request. But if you do nothing else… do something that no other President has had the guts to do. Make it near impossible for people to obtain guns. Put people through rigorous testing and background checks. We have to do this.
