Right to know law.
We must have a right to know as to how an individual or a collective obtained our phone number, email address and/or mailing address when they communicate with us. Reciprocally, we must have a right to know what the communicators’ authentic phone number, email or mailing address is. We must have a right to tell the carriers of email, phone and letter traffic to stop delivery to the communication, with a recourse to the law with penalties for violation, should the communication not cease.
Why? Our privacy is continually invaded and violated by filling our in-boxes, answering machines and mailboxes with unwanted messages. We must be able to have a mechanism to hold those who violate our privacy responsible for their action.
