Right To Own "Our" Guns

Created by K.D. on November 03, 2016

The second amendment: The Right to keep and bear Arms. I discovered that the second amendment was the provision for militias. They were there for the backing of the government for local public order. At this point in time it was only the right to participate in the states militias. Although during the late nineteenth century people wanted the right to own private militias, but the Supreme Court made the point that they were for military or police purposes.I feel like it is important to have the right to own guns for many reasons. One of those reasons is that I love the fact that we have the ability to protect ourselves. I also am a big fan of just going out and shooting with my family. I am glad that the second amendment gives me the right to have guns.
