I am petitioning on behalf of my two grand daughters who are 4 years and 4 months, respectively. They are legal citizens of America born to legitimate immigrant parents whose green card has been processed to an advanced stage, the spouse granted EAD an year back, but are required to leave America due to lay off of father, due to oil crash. The children will face inequality in the country of the parents as they grow but will be required to fulfill all obligations as American citizens including payment of taxes. This is not fair to the children. The proposal in such cases, is to amend the regulations to allow the parents to stay and take up any job to support the children till they find an assignment as per H1B visa for further processing , or the children becoming a major by age.
