We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Robocallers invade everyone's privacy and cost us millions, circumventing the law. This needs to stop.

Created by S.W. on August 01, 2016

Every day, millions of Americans get robo calls for consumer scams. The Government initiated a Do Not Call registry, but scammers have found a way to circumvent the law. Congress needs to provide consumers the tools to fight back, and to enforce the law - do a better job of holding those responsible accountable.

The law has not kept up with technology .

The DO NOT CALL registry states: Since 2009, the FTC has seen a significant increase in the number of illegal sales calls-particularly robocalls. Internet powered phone systems make it cheap and easy for scammers to make illegal calls from anywhere in the world, and to display fake caller ID information, which helps them hide from law enforcement

Make the practice of using fake caller ID information illegal, and a chargeable offense.
