The added expense of life support systems on space vehicles is wasteful and adds great risk to the space program. Let's redirect NASA into advanced robotics in order to develop sophisticated humanoid robots that can be controlled from earth.

Ten of these on the surface of the Moon could be used by thousands of scientists and engineers over decades for the expense of putting one man or woman on the surface.
