Roll Back Foreign Postage Increases. They're killing small businesses.

Created by J.F. on February 04, 2013

In 2006 Congress demanded in its contract with the USPS that postal worker pensions and health care benefits be fully subsidized for 70 years. The affect has been to leave the USPS scrambling for money necessitating the recent postage rate increases. FedEx and UPS lobbied for this stipulation, draw your own conclusions. But be aware that this mandate applies to no other federal agency.

The recent increases of 14.5% and more for overseas postage will destroy many small American businesses that have a large number of foreign customers. They will kill the USPS as well in time leaving us no alternative except commercial carriers.

We demand that this contract stipulation be overturned and that foreign postage rate increases be rolled back to a more reasonable amount if at all.
