The USPS is broken, but not because of anything they've done. Instead, Congress, special interests, and politics have prevented them from running their business like any other business would.
Recently (1/27/13), international postage rates were increased on average 58%, but to some countries the increase more than doubled. This hurts small business owners and doesn't fix the core problems the USPS is facing.

Please! Roll back the increases that hurt small businesses, and implement fixes that really help. Getting rid of the congressional mandate and increasing junk mailer fees would be a good start.
