In the United States, there is a need for information, and a need for technology. As we reach the limit of electrical based communications, we need to look towards the future and adopt fiber optics as a nation. Access to fiber optics would allow greater access to higher internet speeds, and boost our economy.
Therefore I petition the federal government to pass a law, funding a program to run fiber optic cable from coast to coast, down every street. Through doing this, it would create thousands of jobs.
This is comparable to the building of the railroad system, and the highway system. Fund a program to run fiber optic cables to every household.
