Why government violates our right(freedom of choice) by issuing fines for not putting safety belt on?I can understand and admit if driver got punished for one passenger isn't buckled up due to responsibility for passenger’s life, but why driver got charged for not putting his/her belt on? It must be people’s choice to do so or not. Driving without safety belt on has absolutely nothing with driver’s ability of secure driving or his/her driving skills. Unbuckled driver is not a threat to other participants of driving process. It is the same as with smoking. We all know it may cause of dangerous illness but it’s our choice whether to smoke or not. And nobody charge us for our right to smoke. Why then people got charged for driving without safety belt on? Where is our freedom of choice?
