The salaries, benefits and retirements plans of politicians and teachers should be the same. This will change the way politicians view their jobs and return us to true representation of the people. It will rid us of politicians that are doing their jobs for the wrong reasons and only the people that actually want to really work for the people will take on the responsibility. It will encourage talented people to become teachers and drive our nation's education system back to being the best in the world. This simple adjustment will fix two huge problems in our country.
