The US government must withdraw current military aid from Egypt's army and sanction Egypt's Interior Ministry for incitement and escalation of violence against peaceful protesters.
The US must look into the events of last Saturday in Alexandria and Nasr City which led to dozens of peaceful protesters killed or injured by police officers using lethal force, including automatic rifles.
After the military overthrow of the recently democratically elected government the military and Interior Ministry have worked to return the old regime forces and institutions, including the Political and Religious Oversight committees which previously had a grave track record of unlawful imprisonment of opposition activists and improper treatment of civilians.
