Since February of 2014, Russia has engaged in an undeclared war on Ukraine. Crimea has been annexed, Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down by a Russian missile and eastern and southern Ukraine have become killing fields. In response, the U.S. and European Union have imposed economic sanctions on Russian individuals and businesses. However, more can be done. Every day, Russian companies doing business in the U.S. are engaged in an effort to suppress information relating to the Ukrainian crisis. Internet servers, forums, chat rooms and video games controlled by Russian companies systematically suppress any mention of Ukraine. This petition calls for economic sanctions on any Russian companies doing business in the U.S. that use the internet as a virtual war zone on the people of Ukraine.
