Sandy Hook Service Act

Created by A.E. on December 21, 2012

A minimum of one year of service shall be required for all future firearm owners.

The Second Amendment states:
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

It is no coincidence that the founding fathers put the idea of serving the state directly in front of the idea of possessing a firearm. Their service and that of so many Americans, is the only reason we still have this great country.

It is also no coincidence that the majority of major gun crimes have been committed by young Americans. Today's youth face a number of challenges when they leave high school and college. Let's give them the opportunity to serve and turn carrying a gun from a controversy to a point of community pride
