The Department of Defense is considering cutting the A-10 attack plane from the Air Force inventory, in favor of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.
The A-10 is a proven, effective ground attack aircraft which has been invaluable in our conflicts in the Middle East. The airframe itself is upgradeable with far cheaper cost than the F-35, and it's armament is far more effective.
Replacing the A-10 with the F-35 will subject our Soldiers and Marines in future conflicts to inadequate support.
