The 506 th battalion of the 101st airborne is scheduled to be cut as part of the army's reduction in force. This battalion has a rich history starting in 1942. It was immortalized by the Stephen Ambrose book, Band of Brothers. It has served our country honorably and with distinction since its creation. Please do not destroy this historic unit.
