End the “War on Drugs” and redirect the funds to preventing and treating addiction. Education, community support and trust are the keys to curing an epidemic that will destroy this country. The war on drugs has failed. A new solution is required. Treating drug addiction as a public health issue rather than a crime has been incredibly successful in parts of the world. We should learn from other's successes and move forward.
