Save The Alplaus Post Office!! Alplaus Postal District protest the cancellation of the contract for postal services!!

The residents of the Alplaus Postal District and/or patrons of the Alplaus Post Office, protest the cancellation of the contract for postal services by the US Postal Service. The Alplaus Post Office has been in continuous operation since 1922 serving hundreds of residents and other patrons during its almost 90 year history. The post office is in the center of the community of Alplaus and serves as a meeting place and hub of communication of vital community information. The Alplaus Post Office has run at a profit for the US Postal Service for every year since its inception, and costs the USPS absolutely nothing We petition the US Postal Service to rescind the notice of cancellation and to permit the Alplaus Post Office to continue to operate for the indefinite future.
