The effects of the Sequester have been felt far and wide and are affecting many aspects and benefits of government that have been long taken for granted. One government-funded organization which has felt the blow of budget cuts is the Navy's Blue Angels. Effective April 1st of this year (2013) and continuing indefinitely, the Blue Angel squadron will no longer receive funding for performances, effectively shutting down the program.
I have been a fan of the Blue Angels for as long as I can remember. They serve as a magnificent reminder of military strength and professional aviation. The Blue Angels are an American icon. Many would agree with me when I say that I would do anything to keep them flying. That is why I have created with this petition.
Save the Blue Angels.
