Detroit once the industrial power house of this great country has fallen on hard times. a city with a peak population of 1.8 million to an estimated 700,000 in half a century. Detroit is the largest american city to file for bankruptcy. A failing school system, loss of jobs, poor emergency response times, political corruption, drugs , violence and a crumbling infrastructure have all lead to the downfall of this once great city. it is my dream to see this city born again stronger and to be a symbol of how any positive change is possible. with the help of the Obama administration i believe detroit can be SAVED we just need to get the wheels of change rotating. people want to help they only need to be shown how. we need to address these issues to bring about change in Detroit.
