SAVE DAYLIGHT YEAR-ROUND

Created by S.B. on January 08, 2016

Daylight saving time (DST) is the practice of advancing clocks during summer months by 1 hour so that in the evening hours daylight is experienced later, while sacrificing normal sunrise times.

Studies by the US Department of Transportation showed DST trims the country's electricity usage, because less electricity is used for lighting and appliances.

DST saves energy, promotes outdoor leisure activity in the evening (great for physical & psychological health), reduces traffic accidents, reduces crime, & is good for business. Less daylight could lead to one's depression resulting in decreased productivity.

Instead of losing daylight in November, let's save it year-round!

Please, help by signing this petition. I believe our health & well-being during Winter months depend on it.
