Without a healthy earth there is no reason for us as individuals to think we have a chance. Nobody and nothing stands a chance if we as humans keep treating the planet the way we do. None of our individual differences matter as much as the general health of the planet. Do we honestly have to wait untill global catastrophe is looming at our front door to do with our technology what would the ultimate human endeavor and that is save the human race. If the human race as a whole doesn't get together on this than I guess we're cooked.
