Save the Earth: Pass a Security Council Resolution Reinforcing the Paris Agreement and the Kigali Amendment

Use International Law to protect the climate! The Paris Agreement and the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol are vital compacts to combat climate change. They are in jeopardy. A resolution by the United Nations Security Council reinforcing them could not be easily undone by the next Administration. Reinforcing multilateral agreements through subsequent UNSC resolutions is a responsible use of the mandate to protect global peace and security, as was done in the Iran Nuclear Deal. This is the most important accomplishment the Obama Administration could achieve in its final weeks!
