Save the Elephants, by pressuring foreign governments to take real action to stop the illegal ivory trade.

Created by H.C. on April 22, 2013

The Administration must take a firm, public stance, and pressure foreign governments, most notably China, Thailand, The Philippines, and Kenya, to take real action to stop the illegal ivory trade. The illegal ivory trade kills roughly 30,000 elephants annually, and will result in the extinction of the species if action is not taken immediately. The ivory trade finances international crime syndicates and terrorist organisations, which are a threat to security. Many countries sit by and watch this happen. The United States must pressure them to save the elephants. For the sake of this beloved and important species, and international security, we demand that the Administration take immediate action to save the elephants.
