The government is not protecting the Great Hammerhead Sharks and they are going extinct. They have made no laws against fishing or killing the hammerheads they need to so they don't go extinct! Fishermen are cutting the fins off of hammerheads and throwing them back in to slowly bleed to death or die from hunger, this needs to stop we can't have this population dying out from some careless fishermen. Humans kill over 100 million sharks a year and an average of 1 to 2 sharks are killed very second. Approximately 11,500 sharks are killed each hour and an average of 200 are killed in 1 minute!
