Starting the week Sept. 28, 2015, crews are set to begin demolishing the house in McIntyre, Ga., where four seasons of the TLC reality show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" were filmed. "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" not only ushered in the Golden Age of American Television, but has arguably sparked a modern renaissance throughout Western culture.
Because of the house's historical and cultural significance, it must be preserved!
We are calling upon Interior Secretary Sally Jewell to immediately add "The Honey Boo Boo House" to the federal government's National Register Of Historic Places. Failing that, we'd like to see portions of the building salvaged, reassembled and put on display at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History or the National Art Gallery. Whichever seems fitting.
