Save the Historic D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery from closure.

The people of the Black Hills and surrounding communities are greatly concerned with those in Washington who seek to close our beloved D.C. Booth Hatchery October 1, 2013. This local gem is quite an asset and one wonders if the government has gone mad by proposing it's closure. Not only is the hatchery a treasure to the local communities, its a booming tourist spot and economy booster; a 2011 economic impact study indicates that each taxpayer dollar budgeted for the National Fisheries Program generates $28 in economic returns. A 2007 economic impact study on D.C. Booth Historic NFH conducted by Black Hills State University revealed the operations at D.C.
