Save The International Space Station (ISS) and reconfigure the space station for interplanetary space travel.

Created by T.R. on June 23, 2015

The International Space Station is the largest and most expensive single item ever constructed in space. The United States has spent approximately $75 billion on the ISS $43.7 billion for construction and program costs.

The space station has been continuously occupied since November 2000. In that time, more than 200 people from 15 countries have visited aboard the station conducting research in advance scientific knowledge in Earth, space, physical, and biological sciences for the benefit of mankind.

I feel it would be to great of a loss in scientific knowledge for us to just deorbit the ISS into the ocean.

I propose we reconfigure the International Space Station and convert it into a interplanetary spaceship. For travel to Mars and beyond.
