Save The Internet

Created by M.G. on June 05, 2014

Reclassify internet service providers (ISPs) as common carriers.

Prohibit Data Caps.

Stop the Comcast / Time Warner Cable Merger.

Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it: 1906, George Santayana.
Most of the millennial generation, which has grown up with the Internet, was not even alive when Ma Bell broke up in the early 1980s. Yet we are heading down the same path that created the Bell System monopoly. One of the key factors that created that situation was rules put in place by the FCC that grew and sustained the power and control of the Bell System. Today, the FCC is preparing to repeat history by failing to correctly classify internet service providers as common carriers, opening the door to killing the open and neutral internet.
