Save lives on our highways while creating jobs through innovative measures.

There are countless accidents and loss of life to citizens and law enforcement that are the result of traffic stops on the highway shoulder. Car and trucks quickly change lanes, slow down dramatically, and sometimes clip people and vehicles that are pulled over. I suggest creating pull-over zones on the sides of our highways that are a safe distance from the highway, are well lit, and possibly even monitored. This would create jobs, provide a safe place for motorist to pull over, and help to protect all involved. There have been instances of people posing as law enforcement that have pulled over people to commit crimes, a monitored safe zone would help to prevent this. Law enforcement have been injured or killed during traffic stops, this would help provide them with additional protection.
