The manufacturing base in the United States has been in decline. Accordingly, the United States government has loaned billions to manufacturing companies to save American jobs. As such, many American jobs related to the manufacturing of Twinkies will be lost or a knock-off brand will be developed in China and sold in the Unied States. Moreover, the loss of Twinkies will decimate the Fair food industry namely the "Fried Twinkie." The Twinkie is as American as a Hostess Apple Pie. Therefore bailout stimulus money should be earmarked to save the Twinkie.
