Save MCAS Iwakuni's Friendship Day

Created by T.V. on March 26, 2013

For 36 years It has been a rare opportunity for the Japanese public to access a U.S. military base and see military members and aircraft up close to better understand their purpose, but due to budgetary uncertainty U.S. military airshows have been cancelled throughout the world. The importance of Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni's Friendship Day to military members, their families, and our Japanese friends is something that can not be repaid if lost. This year's Friendship day is an important one due to construction on the base making this Friendship Day the last until completion. We ask that an exception to the policy be granted and Friendship Day allowed to be celebrated with our Japanese friends. Let us show how much we appreciate what they have done for us as a host nation.
