In the world today, the income gap has been increasing at an alarming rate. The middle class is disappearing along with any dream of having a better future than previous generations.
We need to look at CEO-to-lowest paid worker pay ratios and put a pay ceiling in effect for publicly traded companies. The more money a company has to spend on a CEO, the less money the company has to spend on future improvements and dividends to pay to the shareholders.
CEO and executive level bonuses should also become null and void unless they maintain yearly inflationary salary increases for all workers. This will help offset the rise in cost of goods sold due to minimum wage increases and inflation.
