Save the Monarch butterfly and all pollinators. Join the Milkweed for Mother's Day campaign

Created by K.G. on February 01, 2014

Populations of Monarch butterflies and indeed all pollinators are at the lowest levels ever recorded. We petition you to take action to save them by requiring buffer zones of native plantings, including milkweed (Asclepias L.), of at least 10 feet between every farm field and along all highway roadsides and highway medians.

Millions of acres of such buffer zones have been converted to farmland in recent years, and we are seeing the devastating effects of it now on the smallest beings in our country, the birds, bees, butterflies, and pollinators who have no voice. We must protect them.

Let us all help the Monarchs by planting milkweed in our gardens. Let's all give Milkweed for Mother's Day and help save the pollinators! #milkweed4mothersday
