Save the Monarch Butterfly by discussing it at the North American Leaders' Summit in Toluca, Mexico!

The North American Leaders' Summit in Mexico is the only hope we have of saving the monarch butterfly. The monarchs are nearly extinct from the deforestation of their overwintering sites in Mexico, along with the eradication of milkweed in the U.S. and Canada. President Peña Nieto is committed to the conservation of the monarch sanctuaries in Mexico, but only a joint effort from all three countries will turn the tide in favor of the monarch. Our leaders must re-energize efforts to save the monarch butterfly, like those under the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation. This plan must include concrete actions to halt destruction of milkweed in the U.S. and Canada, restore monarch habit in all three countries, and strengthen law enforcement in Mexico to stop deforestation.
