Eliminate production and use of the Penny (1 cent)... save money!
According to CNNMoney.com, "the United States Mint last year spent 2 cents to produce each penny and ship it to a bank". Additionally, "consumers have demonstrated they don't value the penny." Canada is dropping the use of its penny. It is time to eliminate the U.S. penny and save the resources, production and associated costs.
