We petition the Obama administration to ensure that an important piece of American history be saved from destruction.
Muddy Waters is the Father of Modern Chicago Blues. He influenced numerous artists of legend in their own right. His name is intimately associated with Chicago's musical history and he is known and remembered world wide. He made the Blues better, and provided a substantial contribution to Rock n Roll.
Muddy lived at this home for 20 years, starting in 1954. The mortar in the walls of this building has heard more and better music than most of us could hope to hear in our lifetimes.
Allowing this to be destroyed would be a terrible loss not only to the City of Chicago, but to America, and lover's of The Blues and Rock worldwide.
Save this home for history.
