Telecommunication companies, e.g. ATT, intend to end support of traditional analogue phone services within a few years.
Millions of homes and businesses depend on landlines for communications, for internet access, and monitoring services e.g. alarms. Most smaller markets, rural and suburban, will be left without service as for-profit providers focus on large markets. Internet costs will rise as unlimited streaming is replaced to metered use. Equipment will have to be replaced. In short, the average communication costs will rise as access gets cut.
We The People ask that the President make it a national priority to forestall this move by telecommunication oligopolies. And, that he work with e.g. USPS via guidance of the FCC to transition and maintain the national wired network.
