These cars are a piece of American history and patriotic pride. Before the Viper was made the world at large did not take the American sports car seriously.
The Viper marks the point where the American car industry shook off the dark days of the '70's and '80's and declared a comeback.
The value of these cars if they were to be sold at auction is in the millions. The cultural value that is lost if these rare cars are crushed is incalculable.
They are set to be crushed in 15 days.
