According to Jacob Charles from Duke University School of Law, the recent debt-limit debates in congress created substantial doubt in the validity of the public debt, which constitutes an unconstitutional questioning of the debt.
Not only is this uncertainty unconstitutional, but it brings the reliability of the greatest economy of the world into question, leading to less investment, fewer jobs, and lower economic growth according to Jacob Kirkegaard, senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics.
