Reckless government spending is a bipartisan issue. For decades, the amount of government programs have exploded, while government receipts have struggled to catch up. We are now 16 trillion dollars in debt, which is more debt than the size of the U.S. economy. In fact, the U.S. has 64 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities. To give a better image of the gravity of this issue, one stack of a trillion dollars would reach 64000 feet in space. The President and Congress need to enact serious tax and spending reforms that are bold and meaningful, not just cosmetic . The future generation deserves a better future than an inflated currency and diminished opportunity, and it is the duty of every American to make sure that doesn't happen by telling Washington to get serious.
