The cost of oil and diesel is controlling our spending. All of our misc spending is directed towards our gas tanks, groceries and other over inflated products of today. Misc spending is what opens and controls small businesses and when we have to look for that 2 cent difference in gas means we are not looking elsewhere to spend money. Oil cost rises, delivery cost rises, manufacturing cost rises, hence...sales come down, work forces come down, employees pay comes down, small bus closes. The lower and middle classes are crashing while the wealthy cannot even see this issue because the price of gas does not effect thier personal bottom line, some do not even pump thier own gas or buy thier own, groceries, how could they see it? Lower and lock the cost of fuel and spending will start back up.
